Information about our materials

In the Packlinq web shop, there’s a wide range of packaging materials. Not only do we sell bags and boxes in all kinds of shapes, colors and sizes, but our products are also made of different materials. On this page you will find more information about the materials we use most often. So are you looking for more information about a particular material? Then read on!

Polyethylene (PE)

Polyethylene is a sturdy plastic material that is very flexible. In our assortment, there are many food packaging products, such as our stand-up pouches, made of polyethylene. We produce both transparent bags and boxes from polyethylene, but we also produce colored packaging with the material. At Packlinq, we offer different types of polyethylene, the most used forms are LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE.

PET

PET is a durable material that can be recycled many times. The material is very strong and is used for example for our transparent boxes. At Packlinq you will also find several products made of r-PET, such as a part of our disposables. These products are made of PET plastic that has already been recycled.

Polypropylene (PP)

Polypropylene is a plastic material similar to polyethylene but with a crystal clear quality. At Packlinq, polypropylene is mainly used for grip seal bags and header bags. The material has a higher quality than polyethylene, but is also slightly less flexible as a result. Polypropylene is known to be resistant to water and bacteria. Therefore, the material is very suitable for medical and food-safe packaging, among other things. Besides regular polypropylene, you will also find the variants CPP and OPP in our range: CPP is a stretchy variant of PP and OPP is a slightly less stretchy variant.

Bioplastic (PLA)

Bioplastic (also: PLA - Poly Lactic Acid) is an environmentally friendly material made from renewable plant materials, such as corn and sugar fruit. A major advantage of PLA is that it is industrially compostable, meaning that it can be composted with a machine. Packaging made from bioplastic is also well suited for food packaging. You can see the material in our range in stand-up pouches and block-bottom pouches, among other products. And the best thing about bioplastic? It is an environment-friendly choice!

Kraft paper

In our assortment you'll also find a large amount of products made of paper, for example our cardboard boxes, but also our paper bags and carrier bags. Kraft paper is a sturdy paper that can be well recycled or composted. Therefore, kraft paper is a more sustainable choice. Most of our paper material is FSC-certified: That means the paper is made from wood from FSC forests. The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) manages these forests in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way, allowing forests to continue to exist in the long term.
